Illium's Universe
A multi-media series that follows Rose (Jahyi) Lui, a failed writer and restaurant employee who finds herself trapped in the universe she wrote about but is unable to leave until she brings the story to its ending. However, she never wrote the ending.
This series spreads out across the universe in several diverse series besides Roses's. All of these seek to answer many questions in Rose Lui's head: What is a collective story? What is home? What is identity?

Speronavi Solar System
Speronavi is a sun from my universe, Illium's Universe. I wanted to imagine building up the culture and practices conducted in Speronavi. The sun is inhabited by beings purely made of light energy. Their focus would be on research and the preservation of truth. With this in mind, I created a series of concept illustrations and linears exploring how they collect and store knowledge. I was inspired by organic shapes and ars nouveau architectural style. This is further explored in the blog post linked in the title.
Sanitallo is one of the planets in the Speronavi Solar System. Its inhabitants are crystal animals and sentient rock-like beings called the Gemini. This conceptual project focused on creating a narrative and setting for a side-scrolling video game. Further details on what the project details and process were are linked in title for the blog post.
