When we're walking down the sidewalk that day

A question lingered in my mind

Because it's been difficult to navigate these emotions

I've only known romantic affection through a screen

Yet you're real in front of me

I can't help but think we've missed moments

Where we could've collaborated

So much potential undisturbed and laid out for seeing

Walking in circles and never really touching

Cause we've missed all this time with overthinking and miscommunication

Perhaps, selfishly, I'm asking those who read to take a leap

That I couldn't, wouldn't, should've.

Because in my mind I'm asking: Are we a missed connection?
